V3100 SOTDMA Class B AIS ( 000-14380-00)

The V3100 Class B AIS incorporates SOTDMA technology and increased transmission power for enhanced frequency, reliability, and range over standard Class B AIS. This ‘black-box’ solution integrates with Simrad displays and supports industry-standard connectivity.

Increased Transmission Frequency and Reliability: The V3100 Class B AIS uses SOTDMA technology, similar to Class A solutions, enabling regular transmission timeslot negotiation with other AIS units in range. This allows for frequent, reliable position updates in high-traffic areas, transmitting up to once every five seconds based on vessel speed.

Increased Transmission Range: With 5 Watts of transmission power, the V3100 provides 2.5 times the range of standard Class B AIS solutions, allowing for greater detection range and more reliable transmission to satellite-based AIS receivers.

Integrated ‘Black-Box’ Solution: Designed for seamless integration with Simrad multifunction displays and other NMEA 2000® or NMEA 0183® connected marine electronics, the V3100 also supports PC output via USB. Housed in a compact, IP67 water-resistant case, it includes an SD card slot for standalone AIS data logging.
