GMDSS VHF Radio with Class A DSC: The GM600 is a GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) VHF radiotelephone designed for use as part of the GMDSS system equipment required by SOLAS or domestic maritime regulations. When combined with the GM800 MF/HF radio, the GM600 and GM800 provide an ideal GMDSS VHF, MF, and HF radio station.
Meets Strict Environmental Requirements: The GM600 has undergone rigorous environmental testing to ensure reliable operation under harsh maritime conditions. The front panel has IPX7 protection (1m depth of water for 30 minutes), while the rear panel features a corrosion-resistant coating.
Meets ITU-R M.493-13 DSC: The built-in DSC offers automated distress and safety communication. A dedicated DSC watch-keeping receiver monitors the DSC calling channel (CH70). The system can store up to 100 MMSI numbers with a 10-character ID name, and the DSC Task mode simplifies operation.
4.3 Inch Wide Viewing Angle Colour TFT LCD: The 4.3-inch color TFT LCD provides a nearly 180-degree wide viewing angle, displaying high-resolution characters and icons. The night mode display ensures readability in low-light conditions.
Provides Loud, Clear Audio: The GM600’s internal speaker, with a waterproof paper cone, delivers superior sound quality. It also provides 10 W of powerful audio when connected to an external speaker.
Intuitive User Interface: A combination of directional keypads and soft keys simplifies operation. The main 12 functions are assigned to soft keys and toggled with navigation keys, while a clearly labeled CH16 button offers one-touch access.
DC-DC Converter PS-310: The optional PS-310 converter provides stable 12.6 V power to the GM600 from either 12 V or 24 V sources, protecting the radio from power interruptions. It is required for MED certification compliance.
