  • Benefits of AIS (Automatic Identification System): An AIS transponder on your boat automatically receives information broadcast by other AIS-equipped vessels and base stations, while your own vessel’s static and dynamic information is transmitted. Using an AIS transponder, you can detect AIS-mounted small boats and buoys that are difficult to spot with a marine radar. The MA-510TR can receive both Class A and B AIS signals, increasing your safety at sea.
  • 4.3-inch Color TFT LCD: The wide-viewing, high-resolution 4.3-inch color TFT display clearly shows your and other vessels’ positions. Potentially dangerous vessels are shown in red, and ships marked as friends are shown in yellow. The day-mode display is readable in direct sunlight, and the night-mode display ensures good readability in the dark for convenience.
  • AIS Target List and Details: The ‘Target’ list screen shows all detected AIS-equipped vessels and targets. The ‘Danger’ list screen shows vessels within six nautical miles of Closest Point of Approach (CPA) and sixty minutes of Time to Closest Point of Approach (TCPA). The ‘Friend’ list screen displays detected AIS targets set as friends. Select a target to view details.
  • Simplified Navigation Function: The Navigation function guides you to a specified waypoint or AIS target. You can assign up to 100 favorite fishing spots or destinations as waypoints. Simply select a waypoint or AIS target on the display to start navigation.
  • Navigation to MOB Waypoint: When the [WPT/MOB] button is held down, the MA-510TR automatically marks a waypoint of the vessel’s current position and activates the MOB (Man Overboard) navigation function to the location where the MOB event occurred.
  • Individual DSC Call: You can transmit an individual DSC Call by selecting an AIS target and the voice channel on the MA-510TR. A compatible Icom VHF radio is required to connect with the accessory cable.
  • USB Connectivity: AIS data can be output from a USB cable connector on the rear panel. A third-party application and connection cable are required.
  • Supplied GPS Antenna: The GPS receiver with SBAS function is integrated into the MA-510TR. Position information is received via the supplied GPS antenna with 10m (32.8ft) cable.
  • NMEA 2000™, NMEA 0183/-HS Connectivity: The MA-510TR connects to external devices like plotters, marine radar, and VHF radios via NMEA 2000™ or NMEA 0183/-HS connectivity.
  • Collision Alarm Function: The collision alarm function alerts you when a vessel enters the CPA or TCPA range, with the vessel’s icon blinking and a beep sound. When connected to external audio equipment, the collision alarm will alert you even if you are away from the AIS transponder.
  • Silent Mode for Security and Privacy: Silent mode turns off the AIS transmitter, preventing the transmission of your vessel’s position. This is useful when you don’t want to reveal your fishing spots but can still receive other vessels’ AIS reports.
